Vespa Touring/GL (VGLA1)

This is one of the most common oldies vespas in Sweden and was a typical "allround" vespa for its time. It has a 3 gear manual gearbox, 150cc engine with about 5.5 hp. 6V electrical system and drum operated brakes. Oil is manually mixed at 2% It is a Vespa that is very 60:s in its style with rounded side cowls and one driver and one passanger seat. This model is well suited for both town riding as well as a trip on the countryside. Highways should however be avoided due to the low power of the engine.

PROS: Robust and simple to maintain due to a large supply of newmade spareparts. Although it is 150cc it still is easy to handle. No fancy stuff that breaks and a long lasting engine due to the low power output compared to cylinger volume.

CONS: It could be useful with some extra horsepower since its hard to ride faster than 50 mph. This is especially annoying when carrying a passenger on the highway. Sometimes this model has a reputation of overheating when running long times at full throttle but this can be fixed with a larger main jet.
